The Charcoal Champion Magnetic Flexible Mini Grill Light
is small in size but big on lighting. As the name states its
flexible and mounts via a strong magnet in it's base. Its
powered by 3 flat round batteries and is turned on and off
by twisting the head. It has 4 bright L.E.D's that when
tested in dark conditions illuminated my 836 sq. In. smoker
chamber and allowed for good visibility. I have used this
device during many smokes with great results. Some of the
smokes were during rain storms and I have not seen any signs
of moisture in the unit. It's not water proof from what I
can tell and submerging it may cause water to get inside but
I'm not looking for a dive light. I wanted a nice small but
handy grill light. This unit does the trick.Most grill
lights I have seen seem to be a clamp on style and have a
rather long neck. I wanted something that was compact,
flexible and bright. The unit definitely is compact. As for
brightness, take a look at the photos to the right. these
were taken in the dark of night with no other light source
(no flash).

Recommendations: I would recommend buying some of
those round felt pads with adhesive on the backing. Stick
one on and your grill pain will be protected from abrasions
or scratches.
