Most folks who smoke meats use seasoning and
flavoring to enhance the product. These are known as
rubs, brines, mopping sauces and flavor injections.
The rubs are usually a dry rub consisting of a
combination of spices and seasoning. The rest are
liquid form of one kind or a combination of several
liquids combined with spices. It's common to find
small granular seasoning mixed in with the
injection. Basically anything that will pass through
the tip of the injection syringe or pump.
The following is a list of Dry Rubs that I recommend.
I enjoy a wide variety of rubs so there should be
something in the list for everyone. I will continue
to expand the list as I find rubs I think are well
worth mentioning. Everyone has different tastes so
do what I do and just try some. Most of the rubs
below are priced in the $5.95 to $6.95 range, I
don't show prices as I have no control over when and
if the price changes. Just click the link and it
will take you to the product and the online store
front will display the current price and
availability. If they don't have then just Google
it. I will not put anything on this page I don't
think is a tasty product. But again everyone's
tastes are different. So go easy on me. :-)

Louisiana Grills Caribbean Key lime
This has a very interesting flavor. It's not
a prominent Key lime flavor but it is a great
tasting rub and the more I use it the more I
like it. I use this rub on Chicken party wings
with Tiger sauce. The combination is impressive
to say the least.
This is one of may favorites for shaking
onto wings. Add a littler Tiger sauce 1/2
way into the smoke and the wings will be
Heavenly.

McCormick's Grill Mates Sweet & Smokey I stumbled on this in the spice section at my
local Safeway. It's a very tasty dry rub. It
isn't as sweet as the label leads one to
believe. It's just right. You can find this at
most local Grocers. If not, you can find it
at Amazon. They are however high on their
price. Just over $4 at Safeway. Amazon wants
$14. Ouch!
