This is a great recipe full
of flavor for those who are on a
												low sodium diet. Healthy never
tasted so good! Best of all this
is one of the most simple
												recipes to cook.
												Lets start with the
												injection. Mix 3 cups Apple
Juice and 2 Tsp Brown Sugar in a
bowl. Heat in the microwave for
about 1 minute 20 seconds until
												hot. This will dissolve the
sugar. If you are going to use
												the injection right away then
place the bowl in a larger bowl
												of ice to chill.
Now let's prep the turkey. I
												started with 3 young Turkey's
with the the legs. thighs and
wings removed. I do this because
w like the white meat only. We
												buy them already processed this
												way so nothing gets wasted.
												Wash the turkeys on cold
water. Pat dry them with paper
towels. Now put on some food
												handling cloves and rub Olive
Oil all over the exterior of the
turkey. This will help the skin
												reach a nice crispy brown.
												Lightly shake on some Garlic
Powder followed by a fair amount
of Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb
seasoning. Follow this up with a
												nice thin coating of brown
												sugar. Next give it another
light coat of Mrs. Dash. Do this
												to all three birds.
Now we will inject the birds.
												Using a flavor injector, inject
the bird about every 2 inches
with the Apple Juice & Brown
												Sugar injection. When Injecting
press firmly on the plunger and
												slowly draw the injection needle
out of the meat. this will
												evenly distribute the liquid.
												Let's get to smoking!
												Pre-heat your smoker to 225
degrees. If your using a Traeger
or like pellet grill with a
												smoke setting, start with smoke.
You will run the grill on smoke
for about 1 to 1.5 hours then
set it to 225 degrees. In this
case I used BBQr Delight Sugar
												Maple pellets.
Once the smoker is up to
temperature put the birds on the
grate and get to smoking! Remove
												the birds when the internal
												temperature reaches 167 degrees.
												This usually takes about 4.5
hours of cook time. That's it!
This is a very easy recipe to
												follow and will produce tasty
												results.
												Now get them smoking and
												enjoy! And remember...
Smoke it and they will come!
